Working with UNDRIP Webinar

Members of the BC House of Commons on the day UNDRIP legislation was introduced.

Presented in partnership with Heritage BC and Indigenous Corporate Training.

As of May 2016, Canada became a full supporter, without qualification, of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (the Declaration). But, what does that mean and how does it affect how you consult and accommodate Indigenous Peoples? What are the legal and policy issues around adopting and implementing the Declaration in Canada, including the application of free, prior and informed consent (FPIC)?

This session is limited to 30 registrants. All registrants will be required to complete a self directed online prerequisite course on Indigenous Awareness. More information is provided on the registration form. Due to this requirement, registration for this session will close on June 9th.

June 25th, 12pm to 3pm. Register here.
